KODAK 5-Day Cinematography Workshop
New Date: New Orleans, LA - December 7-11, 2009
The KODAK Cinematography Workshop provides a unique opportunity to shoot 35mm film in a supportive and creative environment. Each five-day workshop, limited to 15 participants, features a comprehensive overview of cinematography in both theory and practice.
The Kodak Cine workshops allows freedom to experiment with cinematography tools and techniques. Participants will work with a professional cinematographer and crew, allowing their creative potential to flourish. The final day of the workshop features a telecine transfer session, fully utilizing the image manipulation tools in this stage of post production.
 Cinematography topics covered during the workshop include:
- ramping
- exposure tests
- filtration
- frame rate tests
- alternative processing
- lighting for mood
- controlling depth-of-field
- film stock selection
- lens selection
Although admission requirements are not strictly defined, it is recommended that each participant be familiar with using an incident light meter, have a basic grasp of grip and lighting terminology, and be familiar with the basics of film camera operation. The course is appropriate for individuals who are passionate about filmmaking, and have the determination to further their skills and career opportunities.
