Kodak Display Manager
Now every workstation can display the
look of broadcast or projected print film.

KODAK Display Manager System—powered by KODAK Color Science—calibrates, characterizes, and leverages advanced 3D LUT technology to ensure all display devices—including digital projectors—are presenting a consistent visual reference. Saving time and streamlining collaboration throughout the production process.

KODAK Display Manager System V4.2
New features include:
  • Operating Systems
    • NEW Intel-based Macintosh
  • Product compatibility
    • Consistent Defaults / Setup (e.g. LAD )
    • Common Licensing folder for KLMS and KDM
  • Workflow Improvements
    • Telltale in Image viewer showing applied options
    • 3D LUTs
      • User selectable node count (up to 65)
    • Improved Video Legalizing option
      • Rescale to minimum drive value (blacker blacks)
  • Licensing enhancement
    • KLMS to check the license file and "clean" it if necessary.
      • The "cleaning" consist in replacing the 0x0d line break marker by 0x0a line break marker. This should reduce the licensing problems encountered by some Mac users
    • Licensing error handling
      • Display more explicit error message when there is a licensing problem (license file not found, invalid license file, invalid host-id, license expired, etc.)
KODAK Display Manager System:
  • An easy-to-use way to display an accurate simulation of a projected motion picture print film on displays or a video image as it will appear on broadcast monitors.
  • Provides a consistent view across all enabled displays by calibrating, characterizing, and transforming print density to device-specific code values—ensuring everyone’s on the same page.
  • Includes an advanced gamut alert function to display the colors that are outside of the display device gamut, but are reproducible in broadcast or on film.
  • KODAK Display Manager System is an integral part of the KODAK Look Manager System and simulates the KODAK Film stocks selected.

Calibration assistant
Manual Calibration assistant for print film
  • Flexible 3D LUTs allow you to calibrate computer monitors, SD/HD displays, and digital projectors.
  • The manual calibration assistant walks you through adjusting displays that cannot be auto-calibrated.
  • Improved perceptual match between out-of-gamut colors on screen and the final print film.
  • Now compatible with most popular operating systems—including MICROSOFT WINDOWS 2000 and XP, RED HAT, ENTERPRISE LINUX, and FEDORA, MAC OS X TIGER, and SGI IRIX.
