The second goal is to PROMOTE EFFICIENCY. Certain tasks are more easily or accurately done if the task is illuminated to provide sufficient visual acuity. Examples include reading film can labels or job tickets, splicing raw stock, or checking the threading of a printer. In most cases, the light is only needed during the actual performance of the task, and can be directed only to the area needed.
