Because of their low voltage and current consumption, strings of very dim LEDs can outline all of the important features in the darkroom, even in wet areas. Mounted at eye level, walls and exits are clearly delineated, and moving people can be seen as they block the pinpoints of light. At floor level, the strings of light clearly show the aisleways, stairs, and tripping hazards. Likewise, equipment, tables, storage shelves, or any other obstruction can be outlined. Battery-operated LEDs can be used on movable obstructions, such as hand trucks, carts, and pallets.
