ARRI MUNICH JOINS THE IMAGECARE PROGRAM FOLD

London (May 9^th) – On 10 April 2008 ARRI GmbH in Munich, Germany became the first laboratory in Germany to successfully complete KODAK IMAGECARE Program certification, ARRI achieved Phase 1 accreditation with a remarkable score of 229 points, or 99%, virtually the highest possible form of compliance.

“Right from the start, we knew that we would have to handle the implementation of the KODAK IMAGECARE Program in an ambitious and motivating way,” comments Josef Reidinger, ARRI’s Film Lab Department Head.  “Together with my colleague Andy Sollacher, internal supervisor of the KODAK IMAGECARE Program, we convinced the staff of the importance and value of the Program and kept administration to a minimum to allow them to become fully involved in the development of all the schedules. They have commented that it is now straightforward to maintain top quality through standardised and exact procedures.” 

“Kodak technical rep Dieter Krinke facilitated this project with a great deal of competence and passion and was a major driving force,” acknowledges Herr Reidinger. “He personally motivated the ARRI team and prepared supporting documents that contributed to this success,” he continued.  “Special thanks are also due to KODAK IMAGECARE Program accreditor Pascal Bony of the Chalon (France) based Kodak Customer Technical Services centre for his great co-operation, support and coaching,” he notes.

 From Pascal Bony’s perspective, “The lab was very well organised and operations ran smoothly. The operators were perceived to be handling daily routines in a very professional way and all the staff were strongly committed and extremely involved from the outset. They really believe in the KODAK IMAGECARE Program.” 

 Josef Reidinger concluded that for ARRI only the highest quality in their internal negative processing is acceptable because this is the basis for the calibration of the successful ARRISCAN film lasers and ARRILASER film recorders.
